Talmas — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Talmas is a strength-training journal app for Android (package com.cyrilsafin.talmas). The app is developed and operated by Cyril Safin, a private individual in Kazakhstan (the "Developer", "we"). Contact: support@talmas.app.

Talmas is intended for adults only (18+). It is not directed to children.

2. Short summary

• The app works without an account and without internet. Your workouts, measurements and profile are stored on your phone.
• If you choose to sign in with Google, you can keep an optional cloud backup of your data.
• The free version shows one banner ad (Google AdMob). The paid Talmas PRO subscription removes ads and unlocks extended statistics. Payments are handled only by Google Play.
• We do not sell your data and do not use your workout data for advertising.

3. Data stored only on your device

Without signing in, the following data is stored locally on your phone and is not sent to us:

• Profile: name, date of birth, sex, height, units of measurement, default rest timer, theme, and an optional profile photo (compressed on the device to a small JPEG).
• Workouts: date, exercises, sets (weight, repetitions, time, effort level), workout rating, how a workout was finished.
• Body measurements (for example, body weight), your custom and favorite exercises.
• In-app notifications: a local history of events such as new personal records or backup warnings. It is kept for 90 days, is not push notifications, and is never uploaded.
• Subscription status cache and app settings.

Android's automatic app backup is turned off for Talmas, so your data does not go to the cloud unnoticed.

4. Optional account and cloud backup

If you sign in with your Google account (Firebase Authentication), you can back up your data and restore it on another phone. Signing in is optional. The backup is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), in the European multi-region.

The backup contains: your profile (including the photo), body measurements, custom and favorite exercises, theme, and all workouts with their ratings and how they were finished. Firebase Authentication also keeps your user ID and the email address of your Google account.

• Backups are made manually (a button) and automatically (after a completed workout and about once a week) when you are signed in.
• Access rules allow only you to read and write your own backup. Data is transmitted over TLS.
• The app protects your backup from being overwritten by another device: if a conflict is detected, automatic backup pauses and you choose what to do.
• Restoring replaces data on the phone with data from the cloud only after the whole backup has been downloaded and verified.

5. Talmas PRO subscription and payments

• Subscriptions are sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment. We never see or store your card number or other payment details.
• The app receives from Google Play the status of your subscription and a purchase token, and keeps a cached copy of the status on your device so that PRO works offline.
• Your subscription belongs to the Google Play account used to buy it; signing in to Talmas is not required to buy or use PRO.
• If you are signed in with Google, the app may use the email address of your Google account to determine which PRO features are available to you.
• From time to time we may run promotions that open some PRO features for everyone. Settings for this are delivered by Firebase Remote Config (see section 7).

6. Advertising (free version)

• The free version shows one banner ad at the bottom of the screens through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). There are no full-screen, video or rewarded ads.
• AdMob may process: your IP address (and approximate location derived from it), the advertising identifier, ad interactions (impressions, clicks), device and app identifiers and diagnostics, for the purposes of showing ads, analytics and fraud prevention. We do not pass your workouts, profile or photo to the ad network.
• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form (UMP) is shown. You can change or withdraw your choice in Profile → Settings → Privacy settings. The consent form may be shown to PRO subscribers as well, because your choice also affects analytics.
• With PRO (or when a promotion removes ads), the ad SDK is not started and no ad requests are made.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Google → Ads).
• The app is not for children and is configured accordingly.

7. Analytics, diagnostics and security

• Firebase Analytics: usage events (for example, which screens and features are used, PRO purchase funnel events) and a user property describing the access state (for example, free or PRO). You can turn this off in Profile ("Share analytics").
• Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and caught errors with a short location label and the error itself. We do not attach your name, email or workout content.
• Firebase Remote Config: the app downloads settings (such as promotions) and uses the standard Firebase installation identifier. No personal data from your workouts is sent.
• Firebase App Check (Play Integrity): to protect our backend from abuse, Google may check that requests come from a genuine app on a genuine device.

8. AI export (PRO)

PRO users can create a text file (.md) with their workouts for analysis. The file is created on the device and saved where you choose or shared via the Android share sheet. Talmas itself sends nothing to any AI service. What happens with the file after you share it depends on the app you pick. In the extended mode the file also includes your profile, measurement history, timings and ratings; please share it carefully.

9. Exercise data

The built-in exercise catalog uses data by RepDB (repdb.co). Your data is not sent to RepDB.

10. Permissions

The app uses: notifications and exact alarms and vibration (rest timer), internet and network state (backup, ads, subscription), the advertising ID permission (ads), and Google Play Billing (purchases). It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS or calendar. A profile photo is chosen through the system picker.

11. Who receives data

Data is processed by Google as our service provider (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play). We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party marketing. Google may process data in countries outside your own, under its own terms.

12. Retention and deletion

• Local data stays on your phone until you delete the app data or uninstall the app.
• You can delete your account and all cloud data in the app (Profile → Backup → Delete account and cloud data) or by request; see the deletion page. Google may keep residual copies in its backup systems for a limited period.
• Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR / UK GDPR and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Personal Data and Their Protection), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else write to support@talmas.app.

Our legal bases (where GDPR applies): performing the service you request (workout journal, backup, subscription), your consent (ads personalization, analytics where required) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.

14. Health notice

Talmas is a fitness journal, not a medical device. It does not give medical advice. Consult a professional before changing your training.

15. Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version is always at this address; the effective date is shown at the top.

Talmas — дневник силовых тренировок для Android (пакет com.cyrilsafin.talmas). Приложение разрабатывает и поддерживает Cyril Safin, частное лицо, Казахстан (далее «Разработчик», «мы»). Связь: support@talmas.app.

Talmas предназначен только для совершеннолетних (18+) и не адресован детям.

2. Коротко

• Приложение работает без аккаунта и без интернета. Тренировки, замеры и профиль хранятся на вашем телефоне.
• Если вы войдёте через Google, можно включить необязательную резервную копию в облаке.
• В бесплатной версии показывается один баннер (Google AdMob). Платная подписка Talmas PRO отключает рекламу и открывает расширенную статистику. Оплату обрабатывает только Google Play.
• Мы не продаём ваши данные и не используем данные тренировок для рекламы.

3. Данные, которые хранятся только на устройстве

Без входа в аккаунт эти данные хранятся локально и нам не передаются:

• Профиль: имя, дата рождения, пол, рост, система единиц, таймер отдыха по умолчанию, тема, необязательное фото профиля (сжимается на устройстве до небольшого JPEG).
• Тренировки: дата, упражнения, подходы (вес, повторы, время, уровень нагрузки), оценка тренировки, способ завершения.
• Замеры тела (например, вес), ваши и избранные упражнения.
• Уведомления внутри приложения: локальная история событий (новые рекорды, предупреждения о копии). Это не push-уведомления, хранится 90 дней и никогда не выгружается.
• Кэш статуса подписки и настройки приложения.

Автоматическое резервное копирование Android для Talmas отключено, поэтому данные не уходят в облако незаметно.

4. Необязательный аккаунт и облачная копия

Если вы входите через аккаунт Google (Firebase Authentication), можно сохранять копию данных и восстанавливать её на другом телефоне. Вход необязателен. Копия хранится в Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), в европейском мультирегионе.

В копию входят: профиль (включая фото), замеры, ваши и избранные упражнения, тема, все тренировки с оценками и способом завершения. Firebase Authentication также хранит идентификатор пользователя и адрес электронной почты аккаунта Google.

• Копия создаётся вручную (кнопка) и автоматически (после завершённой тренировки и примерно раз в неделю), пока вы вошли в аккаунт.
• Правила доступа позволяют читать и записывать вашу копию только вам. Данные передаются по TLS.
• Приложение защищает копию от затирания другим устройством: при конфликте автокопия приостанавливается, а вы решаете, что делать.
• Восстановление заменяет данные на телефоне только после полной загрузки и проверки копии.

5. Подписка Talmas PRO и платежи

• Подписка продаётся через Google Play Billing. Платёж обрабатывает Google. Мы не видим и не храним номер вашей карты и другие платёжные данные.
• Приложение получает от Google Play статус подписки и токен покупки и хранит копию статуса на устройстве, чтобы PRO работал офлайн.
• Подписка принадлежит аккаунту Google Play, с которого вы её купили; вход в Talmas для покупки и использования PRO не нужен.
• Если вы вошли через Google, приложение может использовать адрес электронной почты вашего аккаунта Google, чтобы определить, какие функции PRO вам доступны.
• Иногда мы можем проводить акции, открывающие часть функций PRO всем. Настройки акций передаёт Firebase Remote Config (см. раздел 7).

6. Реклама (бесплатная версия)

• В бесплатной версии внизу экранов показывается один баннер через Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Полноэкранной, видео- и «наградной» рекламы нет.
• AdMob может обрабатывать: IP-адрес (и примерное местоположение по нему), рекламный идентификатор, взаимодействие с рекламой (показы, клики), идентификаторы устройства и приложения и диагностику — для показа рекламы, аналитики и защиты от мошенничества. Данные тренировок, профиль и фото в рекламную сеть не передаются.
• В Европейской экономической зоне, Великобритании и Швейцарии показывается форма согласия Google (UMP). Изменить или отозвать выбор можно в Профиль → Настройки → Настройки конфиденциальности. Форма может показываться и подписчикам PRO, потому что выбор влияет и на аналитику.
• С PRO (или когда акция убирает рекламу) рекламный SDK не запускается и запросы рекламы не отправляются.
• Сбросить или удалить рекламный идентификатор можно в настройках Android (Google → Реклама).
• Приложение не для детей и настроено соответствующим образом.

7. Аналитика, диагностика и безопасность

• Firebase Analytics: события использования (какие экраны и функции используются, события воронки покупки PRO) и свойство, описывающее состояние доступа (например, бесплатно или PRO). Отключается в Профиле («Делиться аналитикой»).
• Firebase Crashlytics: отчёты о сбоях и пойманных ошибках с короткой меткой места и самой ошибкой. Имя, почта и содержимое тренировок не прикладываются.
• Firebase Remote Config: приложение загружает настройки (например, акции) и использует стандартный идентификатор установки Firebase. Данные ваших тренировок не передаются.
• Firebase App Check (Play Integrity): для защиты нашего сервера Google может проверять, что запросы приходят от настоящего приложения на настоящем устройстве.

8. Экспорт для ИИ-анализа (PRO)

Пользователи PRO могут создать текстовый файл (.md) со своими тренировками. Файл создаётся на устройстве и сохраняется туда, куда вы укажете, или отдаётся через системное меню «Поделиться». Сам Talmas ничего не отправляет ни в какие сервисы ИИ. Что будет с файлом после передачи, зависит от выбранного вами приложения. В расширенном режиме в файл попадают также профиль, история замеров, время и оценки, поэтому передавайте его осторожно.

9. Данные об упражнениях

Встроенный справочник упражнений использует данные RepDB (repdb.co). Ваши данные в RepDB не отправляются.

10. Разрешения

Приложение использует: уведомления, точные будильники и вибрацию (таймер отдыха), интернет и состояние сети (копия, реклама, подписка), разрешение на рекламный идентификатор (реклама) и Google Play Billing (покупки). Оно не запрашивает геолокацию, контакты, камеру, микрофон, SMS и календарь. Фото профиля выбирается через системный выбор изображений.

11. Кто получает данные

Данные обрабатывает Google как наш поставщик услуг (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play). Мы не продаём персональные данные и не передаём их для стороннего маркетинга. Google может обрабатывать данные в других странах на условиях Google.

12. Хранение и удаление

• Локальные данные хранятся на телефоне, пока вы не удалите данные приложения или само приложение.
• Аккаунт и все облачные данные можно удалить в приложении (Профиль → Резервное копирование → Удалить аккаунт и облачные данные) или по запросу; см. страницу удаления. Google может некоторое время хранить остаточные копии в своих резервных системах.
• Удаление аккаунта не отменяет подписку Google Play. Отмените её в Google Play.

13. Ваши права

В зависимости от страны проживания (в том числе по GDPR / UK GDPR и по Закону Республики Казахстан «О персональных данных и их защите») вы можете иметь право на доступ, исправление, удаление, ограничение и перенос данных, право возражать против обработки, отозвать согласие и обратиться в орган по защите данных. Многое можно сделать прямо в приложении; по остальному пишите на support@talmas.app.

Основания обработки (где применяется GDPR): выполнение запрошенной вами услуги (дневник, копия, подписка), ваше согласие (персонализация рекламы, аналитика, где требуется) и наш законный интерес в безопасной и стабильной работе сервиса.

14. Предупреждение о здоровье

Talmas — дневник тренировок, а не медицинское изделие. Он не даёт медицинских рекомендаций. Перед изменением тренировок проконсультируйтесь со специалистом.

15. Изменения

Мы можем обновлять политику по мере развития приложения. Актуальная версия всегда по этому адресу, дата вступления в силу указана в начале.
